About me
Proudly Serving the Clarksville, TN and surrounding areas
Hello, my name is Travis and I started a Furniture Repair business in 2026.
I used to have a really professional and generic about us section. It just didn't feel like me. So I'm changing that.
I've been doing furniture repair for over a decade. I learned from a great mentor for a short time, and then was on my own for the majority of that decade. I've made a lot of mistakes and have learned from them. But let me tell you about myself first.
I'm 33 as of this year.
I am a family man with a beautiful, smart and loving Wife who gave me two amazing kids. I am extremely blessed to have them and I strive to be the man they deserve every day. I've never been a religious man until recently, and since I've started to have some faith, I thank God every day for the life I have.
I have lived in Clarksville, TN for the majority of my life. My Dad was stationed on Ft. Campbell around 2000, when I just in 1st grade. I have been here ever since, except for a four year tenure in the Army. I served for a short time before getting out and moving back to Clarksville.
After getting out of the Army, I decided to get into making pallet furniture, and it wasn't very good furniture if I'm being honest- it was kind of awful. During that time I started working at a local furniture store, and quickly moved over to the Service department to fix Furniture. I have been doing that ever since. A decade later, the store I worked out went Bankrupt and I got laid off. After years of talking about starting my own Repair business, it was now or never. I'd rather try and fail, then look back years from now and say I wish I would have. So here we are - trying this out. So far it's going pretty well.
So now you may be asking why choose me?
Well, to be frank, there isn't really a lot of choice in Clarksville, TN. The closest businesses that do this are in Nashville. There isn't a lot of choice in this area. I'm bringing that to the table.
Honestly though- I have A LOT of pride in what I do, and sometimes that costs me money because I like to make things right when things go wrong. I'm human, we all are- I make mistakes... BUT I ALWAYS OWN THEM. If I don't feel like I can't do something, I won't accept the job. I have been doing this a long time, and not to brag, I am pretty good at what I do.
You can rely on me and trust me with your furniture because I care. I genuinely care too much sometimes and it stresses me out on occasion.
Right now it's just me, but I have plans to bring on one or two guys I have worked with doing the same thing. They are good, solid fellows that care just as much as me. I hope one day I can grow this business enough where I can support my family, but also their families as well.
My goal with Ironwood Furniture Repair is to save people money, save furniture from the landfill and to just help people out. This economy has a strangle hold on most people, including myself. So if I can save you a couple hundred to potentially a few thousand by fixing something, then I absolutely want to do that for you.
