Piano Leg Repair

After this repair was completed in home. The customer's mother said "Where did the break happen?" while her face was inches away from where it was broken. That's the best compliment I can get from a client lol.

This Yamaha piano had one of its legs broken during a move from Texas. It was left just how it was pictured. I was asked to replace or repair the leg.

Instead of replacing the leg, I was able to repair and reinforce it with an internal steel rod and structural epoxy, then touch up the finish to blend everything back in. Not only is this repair stronger than replacing - this was also the cheaper route, as replacing the leg fully would require fully disassembling that area and the glue joints. It would have been significantly more in time and cost.

Some  details about the repair: It was completed in home. Took two hours to complete, including clean up, vacuuming, etc.

Customer saved a lot over replacement, and the piano is back together like nothing happened.
